Forecast: Power Cuts (Mon, Feb 27, 2012)

Here's the power-cut FORECAST for Monday, February 27, 2012. The total power cut timing should be reduced to 5:30 hrs during business hours. Here's when it would be happening.

This, I am told is common for "Arulananda Nagar, Yagappa Nagar, Nanjikottai Road, MC Rd/Easwari Nagar" - someone please confirm by giving a comment here.

This is optimistic based on data variations collected yesterday. There can be 1 minute glitches when the power returns, so watch out for it. There will be two (2) 1 minute power-down/power-up scenarios we predict, but the timing, we don't have a model to forecast that yet.

We need feedback and data to rework exactly what the government is doing in terms of load shedding. We can do it without having to beg government authorities for information - now that we have no suffrage choices until the tenure of this government, we will do our best to raise our quality of life.

For "New Bus Stand", "Ganapathy Nagar", "Municipal Colony", "Reddipalayam"

However we have data mentioning the following as the actual alternative. Could someone from any of these areas, please confirm?

PS: Mathematics freaks can ask us for our forecasting model, which we are willing to share with anyone who can help us out.

The forecast model assumed that the quanta used are symmetric. This rule was broken on Monday leaving us with a 3 hour power cut slot. This did not change much except add another 1 hour to the total power cut timing. However, the following power-cuts of 45 minutes each were timed differently. This unpredictability will force us to use an adaptive model with a centralized application database.
